History of the Colombian Civil War

This study is based on what is readily available for historical research at the US National Archives. Many of these documents are from the records of the US State Department. To follow the routing codes, see these organizational charts from 1951, 1955 and 1959. This intelligence flow chart circa 1970 is also of interest, as is this partial index of G-2 army intelligence files held at the National Archives. [open up to 1953] FBI, and CIA records are not generally available at the National Archives. Thanks to Edward Barnes, Richard Boylan, Milton Gustafson, Elizabeth Lipford, John Taylor, and others there who've made this work possible. I would also like to mention some of the people who have contributed to this or motivated it in some way, including Hank Albarelli, Dan Alcorn, Herbert Braun, Adelina Covo, Christy Hughes Cox, Frank Crigler, Francine Cronshaw, Victor Diusab, George Donnelly, Equipo Nizkor, Holman Garavito, Sergio Gomez, Servando Gonzales, Margarita Lacabe, Gerardo Reyes, Maria Luz Robinson, Daniel Samper, Douglas Osher Sofer, Doug Stokes, Eduardo Umaña Luna, Maria Valencia Gaitan, and Alvaro Valencia Tovar.
